Active seniors can live with carefree independence at The Lodge of Northbrook. The Lodge offers a variety of spacious one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or two-bedroom with den floor plans. All are complete with energy efficient construction and first-class amenities and services—unique sanctuaries that are perfect for calling your own.

The Lodge of Northbrook’s independent living community offers the serenity and maintenance-free living you crave—along with an innovative and invigorating lifestyle you’ll love to embrace.
We’re an entrance-fee community, a financial model with a commitment similar to a condominium purchase; however, no property taxes or homeowner association dues! There is a one-time initial sum, called the entrance-fee (fully refundable), and a monthly fee. Your monthly fee covers all utilities, in-home maintenance, parking, services, amenities, operational expenses, and more. With a 95% occupancy level, it’s clear our residents consider their investment in our community to be stable and sound.

Don’t feel like cooking? The Lodge of Northbrook offers complimentary continental breakfast, as well as flexible chef-prepared meals in one of our conveniently located dining areas Mondays through Fridays at an additional charge.

What will The Lodge of Northbrook offer me that I don’t have at home?
The answer is almost too long to list! What we most often hear from our residents is that our communities offer a maintenance-free lifestyle, a wide variety of social and educational opportunities, and peace of mind for all the “what ifs” in life. What if I have to give up my driver’s license? What if I can no longer go up and down stairs? What if I need to use a wheelchair or walker? What if I need additional help with day-to-day activities?
What happens if I leave town for an extended period?
No problem. We will hold your mail, water your plants, or provide any other peace of mind services we can so that you can relax and enjoy your travels.
Will I be able to decorate my new home?
Yes, you will be able to furnish and decorate your new residence. If you need assistance securing a painter, wallpaper hanger, or other decorating service provider, give us a call.
Will there be any stairs in my new home?
Not in your apartment; however, there are stairs if you prefer to use them over the elevator.
Do I have to participate in social activities?
Although most of our residents look forward to our wide variety of programs and activities, it is up to the individual resident to decide if and when they would like to join in on the fun.
Can my grandchildren and friends come for an overnight visit?
Of course! Family, friends, and grandchildren are always welcome at The Lodge of Northbrook. They can visit, stay overnight in your home, or you can reserve one of our guest suites.
What is the first step of getting involved at The Lodge of Northbrook?
The first step of getting involved at The Lodge of Northbrook is simple. A fully refundable $200 priority reservation deposit will give you the following options:
- Priority unit selection of a residence of your choice.
- Allows you first right of refusal on a residence while you finalize your decision.
- Gives you the time options to make the decision that is right for you.
